Description:
Adaptive Materials is looking for a Fuel Cell Stack Engineer to join our Product Engineering team as a key contributor in taking our proven technology to the commercial market. This position will report to the Director of Product Engineering and Manufacturing. This position is responsible for product-side design and engineering of the fuel cell stack and its integration into a fuel cell system.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field is required. Master's degree preferred. At least 5 years of design engineering experience working with products that involve heat transfer and thermodynamics. Description:
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, this person will be responsible for the management of the facilities and facilities / production equipment in support of the manufacture of connectorized and chip level passive RF microwave products in accordance with local/state/federal environmental requirements. This position will manage equipment technicians and with other departments, be a strategic member of Aeroflex Inmet Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) team. SCOPE: Manages and provides guidance to equipment technicians, ensuring that production/facilities equipment meets operational, availability, efficiency, and maintenance requirements to support production and TPM plan; Lead facility renovation and rearrangement projects, including electric, water, air, and waste requirements; Work closely with Production to maximize equipment effectiveness (minimize losses - setups, repairs, etc); Provide process development/improvement support as applicable; Provide support for facilities and production equipment procurement /repair /upgrade and implementation; Manages outside contractors /vendors /consultants to contract equipment purchases and services; Manage facility utilities, environmental permitting, and chemical and waste streams in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements; and more.
Requirements:
Management of people, equipment and facility resources in support of business goals; Knowledgeable in facilities, utilities, and production infrastructure and environmental requirements; Self motivated, able to prioritize and manage multiple projects in support of departmental and organizational goals; Solid understanding of facility equipment and systems. Education: BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering desired however, will consider candidates with a minimum of 10 years of directly applicable experience. Experience with CAD/CAM packages preferred; Good communication, organizational, problem solving, multi-tasking, and listening skills; Work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Physical Requirements: Work performed in both an office and factory setting; Occasionally required to lift up to 30lbs.
