(Plymouth and Kalamazoo, MI) – Velesco Pharmaceutical Services , a contract research organization in the pharmaceutical drug development industry, has been recognized as one of the 2010 “Michigan 50 Companies to Watch,” an awards program sponsored by the Edward Lowe Foundation. Additionally, Southwest Michigan First recognized Velesco with a “Catalyst Award” for creating jobs and economic success in the Kalamazoo Region in 2009.

Velesco Pharmaceutical Services was founded by pharmaceutical industry veterans and offers a full range of early drug development services including drug formulation, analytical method development/validation, cGMP clinical supplies as well as consulting . With locations in Plymouth and Kalamazoo, MI, Velesco’s services are designed to ensure clients reach the full therapeutic potential of their new medicines.

In 2009, Velesco opened a cGMP clinical supply manufacturing facility in Kalamazoo and moved its development laboratories to expanded space in the Michigan Life Science and Innovation Center in Plymouth, MI.
