Ann Arbor’s first book printing firm, Edwards Brothers, was launched in 1893 and continues to anchor Ann Arbor’s short-to-medium run book printing industry. Today 1,650 people are employed with seven book printing companies. Firms continue to adapt to changing information technologies and customers’ needs by offering self-publishing, digital printing, and editing and design services.
