Google - In a resounding affirmation of the region's innovative environment and well-educated work force, the Internet powerhouse Google Inc. chose Ann Arbor to house its AdWord business. The office will open in the fall, and is projected to create up to 1,000 jobs over the next five years. www.google.com  NSF International - NSF International certifies products and writes standards for food, water, air and consumer goods worldwide. In June 2006, NSF announced it was spending $23 million to double laboratory space at its Ann Arbor headquarters to support fast-rising demand for its testing and certification services. A new 82,000 square foot addition adjacent to its current building should be complete by the first quarter of 2007, creating 100 new technical jobs. www.nsf.org  Toyota Technical Center (TTC) - Toyota is investing $150 million into a new research and development facility on 690 acres of land. The TTC currently employs 200 technicians, and projects to add 400 more in the new facility. www.toyota.com  Hyundai America Technical Center - Located in Superior Township, this North American technical center is expanding their facility with an investment of $117 million to eventually employ 400 people who will conduct testing, engineering and research for Hyundai and Kia autos. www.hyundai.com  Borders Group Inc. - A leading retailer of books, music and movies, Border's manages over 1,200 stores around the world from its headquarters in Ann Arbor. www.borders.com  Domino's Pizza - The world leader in pizza delivery, Domino's Pizza's world headquarters occupies a sprawling Frank Lloyd Wright inspired complex in Ann Arbor Township. www.dominos.com  The DaimlerChrysler Chelsea Proving Grounds - The Chelsea Proving Grounds is a state-of-the-art testing facility and engineering laboratory that sprawls over 3,800 acres and employs 700 technicians. It is a key facility for DaimlerChrysler conducting comprehensive vehicle testing, cascading technical improvements throughout the corporation. www.daimlerchrysler.com  General Motors Powertrain - This Ypsilanti Township facility produces Hydra-Matic transmissions for full-size pickups, SUVs, luxury and sports vehicles. Since 2003, GM has invested invested $500M to launch a new 6-speed automatic transmission. www.gm.com  ProQuest CSA - A publisher of information and education solutions focused on information management for library, classroom, and automotive markets. The company employs 740 people at its new 110,000 square foot Ann Arbor headquarters. www.proquest.com  General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems - General Dynamics' Ypsilanti Township facility has 450 people dedicated to the design, development and integration of information solutions for defense, intelligence and homeland security. www.generaldynamics.com  National Vehicle and Fuel Emissions Laboratory - The NVFEL lab in Ann Arbor provides the Office of Transportation and Air Quality with emission testing services for motor vehicle, heavy-duty engine, and non-road engine programs in support of rulemakings, enforcement actions, and procedures development.
