Entrepreneur Boot Camp
The Program
You'll spend two full days learning how to identify critical issues for your business plan. Entrepreneur Boot Camp is an intensive and instructive way to gain critical feedback and advice about your business model, management team, competitive positioning, market strategy and other key elements that determine if a start-up will succeed or fail. Based on advice received during camp, former Boot Campers have gone on to win business plan competitions, secured funding, improved their business model, and got connected to advisors and other key talent.

Additional Post-Camp After Care Enhancements:
Ann Arbor SPARK Entrepreneur Boot Camp includes an "after care" program that helps further the chances of entrepreneurial success for participating start-ups. At the conclusion of Boot Camp, eligible graduating companies are eligible to receive up to $5,000 in business consulting through Ann Arbor SPARK as well as other critical start-up support:
- Access to SPARK Expert Resource Board - a monthly business assistance roundtable
- Free participation in many of SPARK's entrepreneur education events
- Mentoring and business-critical introductions
- Drop-in space usage at SPARK East including conference rooms, copier and WiFi
The next scheduled Entrepreneur Boot Camp will be held March 22 & 23 at Kensington Court in Ann Arbor. We’ll be kicking off this Boot Camp Wednesday, March 7, 2012. All are invited to the Celebration, Thursday April 12, 2012 at SPARK Central.
These camps are very successful at helping entrepreneurs refine, define, and launch their businesses.
You'll learn how to refine your business model, design an effective investor presentation, and work one-on-one with experienced business executives who will mentor you. You will be guided by your own "drill instructor' – a seasoned entrepreneur who will select and match mentors to assist you with your pressing start-up needs, and share resources in your industry and areas of need.
Boot Camp outcomes include:
- Concise positioning statement (Elevator pitch)
- Executive summary draft
- Initial investor presentation
- Road map to the next company milestone
Finally, you will have an opportunity to present to a panel of venture investors, with the enthusiastic support of the Ann Arbor entrepreneurial community.
Boot Camp enrollment is limited. Each start-up needs a two-person team for camp.
