August 29th 2012- Ann Arbor SPARK was invited to participate in the White House Business Council’s Economic Development Forum yesterday. As part of the Forum, Ann Arbor SPARK’s president and CEO, Paul Krutko, who also serves as vice chair of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) and chair of IEDC's Economic Development Research Partnership, presented “Jobs In the Making: Economic Development Strategies to Grow Manufacturing”.  The report is a compilation of research conducted by IEDC.

At the White House Business Council Economic Development Forum, Ann Arbor SPARK provided an important perspective on how the Administration can best support business growth and partner with economic development organizations to help grow the U.S economy and create jobs.  In addition to his presentation on strategies for manufacturing growth, Krutko also connected with key Administration economic policy makers and learned about Administration initiatives.

In July 2011, Ann Arbor SPARK hosted the White House Business Council for a roundtable discussion with more than a dozen local business owners.
